What's happening with the continued unemployment trend?

30:56
Thank you for your question, Eva - can you expand on what you would like to know about the unemployment trend?

32:04
Aside from the pandemic impact, I was curious what factors are contributing to the continued trend. e.g. shift in industries?

32:43
@Julia - and what populations are most impact by the continued unemployment trend.

33:05
Excellent question thank you! I'll send a response shortly.

It's getting better every year

44:17
I find it ironic that we are discussing the need for more students requiring more educators to help with the problem, yet we invest the least in educators as far as salary.

46:29
Jeff, great thought. One of the obstacles to brining new programs to the area is finding an instructor.

46:48
Thank you everyone for your questions and comments!

this one. its the bottom right under award gaps

01:19:41
Is this listing for each region ranked? I noticed Nurse practitioner is listed for both but on the list in different places.

01:20:47
@eva - Yes, the regions are next to one another. When Erin goes back to the previous slide, you will see one is listed SW and one is listed SE

01:21:05
Got it. Thanks!

01:21:06
So the results are slightly different for each region. Great question!

01:22:55
For school districts, thinking about origin and gateway occupations is a great way to plan out your CTE offerings to help address your region's workforce challenges.

01:26:59
I do wonder how we can shift our thinking about the origin occupations to engage more students in them. These are often physically-demanding, high-contact jobs that are not "appealing" to many students.

01:28:25
That is an excellent point - thank you, Marci!

01:28:50
@Marci - perhaps considering these as stepping stones to build skills leading to other occupations that meet their goals?

01:28:55
Interesting that Logisticians is a need for both sectors but there is no education program, that I'm aware of, in all of Southern MN...

01:29:15
Great point, Eva - thank you!

01:29:44
Thank you for raising that, Jason!

01:29:57
Agreed, Eva. We can definitely do a better job of demonstrating the pathways to and through careers.

01:32:19
I have to leave. Thanks again for the outstanding information and presentations! Happy Holidays!

01:32:34
Thank you for joining, Debbie! Happy Holidays!

01:36:21
What piece of the data surprised, inspired, validated, or challenged you?

01:37:42
Wondering if the regional data translates to the local community? For example, is it generally OK to assume that a regional trend is also evident at the local level? Local meaning at the county or city level.

01:42:43
Thank you, Erin, for taking time with us as you recuperate!

01:42:59
From your perspective, what are the most important considerations in these data for Career and Technical Education programs?

01:44:25
Great job, RTT!

01:44:46
What is one barrier that you can help remove for BIPOC students?

01:44:57
For me, look for innovative ways to obtain credentials, like stackable credentials to allow people to work and study

01:45:14
Thank you, Alicia
