What if you have been given the visa but you’re asked to mail the sevis fee to get passport and you haven’t heard from them after emailing it to them. How can we contact them or remind them.

Hi Abdikani--yes, you will apply for your visa at the U.S. embassy/consulate in your home country

Hi Mohamed Jama--good financial documents to bring to your visa interview can be bank statements and official letters from the bank (signed, on official letterhead) confirming that you (or your sponsor) have enough funding to cover your expenses. Visa officers like to see proof of liquid assets

Hi David--I know it can be difficult and frustrating to contact your local embassy/consulate, but I would recommend being persistent. Send a follow-up email and call them until you get in touch with an actual human being on the phone. Contact information should be provided on the embassy/consulate website
